2026 is the 400th anniversary of the death of England’s most famous lutenist, John Dowland. This recital showcases the range of his works, and includes some of his more intriguing pieces, some of which survive incomplete or in garbled form; these will be performed in new editions by Lynda. To give context to Dowland’s work, the concert will also include works by some of his English court colleagues, including Daniel Bachelar, John Sturt and Robert Johnson.
